Description
Initiated by 3 young graduates, the Ninkasi was born from a simple idea: to implant the concept of American micro-breweries in France. This project was completed in 1997 and takes place in Lyon, on the Gerland site. In 2012, the factory moved 50km from Lyon, to Tarare more precisely. The new playground for our brewers has a capacity of 5,000 liters per brew (i.e. 23,000 HL / year).

Cloudy deep blond color. Strange aroma, herbal, fruity, flowery; with plastic too. Sweetish flavor, some malt and coriander, some oranges, yeasty. Clear alcohol punch. Confused and confusing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Hazy yellow with a white head. Very fruity nose, a little tart, banana also. Solid body, very fruity and some yeastiness, vitamin c and exotic fruits. Lurking tartness underneath, but it doesn’t appear infected.220909

From tap at brewpub. Pours clear and golden amber to deep orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is raspberry citrusy fruity. Sweet flavoured, light sulphorish and mild citric. Vague smoke accent. Lingering sweet fruity and persisting sulphorish. Strange due to the sulphorish note - although with hints of a good fruit beer.
