Flaska från trade, b2 2020. Kolsvart, tjock utan någon egentlig krona. Lite dammig, skarp, med toner av vanilj, massor av kakao, Bourbon. Inte mycket lönnsirap. I eftersmaken rejält med lakrits. Tuff, lite spretig och väl skarp inledningsvis. Mjuknar något efter en stund i glaset, men svårt att helt få grepp om.

Can from Cugino's. 2022 version. Cloudy black, thinning, beige head. Aroma of vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, espresso, fondant, burnt pancake, tonka bean, liqueur. Taste has sweet date in a thick dark-chocolatey malt body; creamy vanilla, some syrup and spicy clove & cinnamon notes. Earthy hoppy finish offers bitter espresso, maple syrup, wood and almost something resinous, some warming brandy-like alcohol too. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Tasty for sure, but rather heavy to drink and not very elegant.

Hazy orange-pink, small, off-white head. Aroma of raspberry coulis, unripe strawberry, flavoured yoghurt, wheat. Taste has sweetish raspberry, sourish berry & wheat and yoghurty maltiness. Tart finish of raspberry & berry peels, a tad salty. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Not very complex but pleasant.

Cloudy off-pink, thin, off-white head. Aroma of blueberry yoghurt, cassis, vanilla powder, pudding, bath soap, passion fruit flesh. Taste has sweet-sour cassis & blueberry over yoghurty maltiness, some spices and vague passion fruit. Tart, berry-like finish with vanilla and a salty bite. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Good combination and still recognisable as a Gose.

Taste has sweet banana & apple, spicy clove & nutmeg notes over a dry-bready malt base. Floral hoppy finish with sourish wheat, apple and spices. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Quite okay, maybe not 'firm' enough.

Hazy yellow, thin, white head. Aroma of pineapple, mandarin, peach, pine, melon, grape, white pepper. Taste has sweetish pineapple & melon, sourish mandarin & lime over bready maltiness. Floral & herbal hoppy finish with perfumey pine, some mint and bitter citrus peel. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Very solid brew, obvious Strata too.

Hazy orange, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of ripe mango, melon, peach, diesel, dank onion, gin, honey. Taste has sweet melon, peach & plum over honeyish maltiness. Floral hoppy finish, quite dank, ripe stonefruit and warming gin-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Heavy stuff, still nicely fruity.

Clear golden, small, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit peel, pine, mango, peanut, vague sweat. Taste has sweetish mango & melon around a bitter core of grapefruit peel & pine against a dry-bready, peanutty malt backbone. Dry & bitter, resinous hoppy finish with grapefruit juice. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Obviously lacking in aromatic freshness but just a bit too much.

Clear amber, small, off-white head. Aroma of toasted nuts, apple peel, toffee, plum, old pear, cellar. Taste has sweet plum & red apple over biscuity, toffee-like, bit nutty maltiness. Herbal hoppy finish with ripe & slightly tart red fruits, nutty. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Solid Märzen but with a surprising twist.

Taste has sweet nectarine & melon, sourish passion fruit & guava over doughy & honeyish maltiness. Bitter finish of grapefruity hops, orange pith, juicy stonefruit and warming triple sec-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Pretty darn good mix of flavours but never drowning the base beer.
