Description
The brewery: Nestled in the Swiss Alps, not far from Geneva and Mont Blanc, and just a stone's throw from the French and Italian borders, White Frontier is a brewery created by free-spirits for free-spirits. Not afraid of pushing the boundaries, the team likes to live life on the edge, taking their inspiration from the great outdoors. And if they're not brewing, then they can most likely be found snowboarding, skiing, or simply hanging out, preferably with a great cup of coffee.

At Zurich Bier Festival 2017. Poura hazy pale yellow. Aroma is intense passion fruit, some grass and vanilla, wood. Medium body, sweet, super fruity, passion fruit, citric, soft carbonation. Spicy on the palate, probably the hop pellets. Good!

Bottle at Erzbierschof MC. Pours slightly cloudy yellow. Aroma is little grassy and flowery hops over clear malts. Body is medium, softly carbonation, medium bitterness with a strange sour sweetness. Okay.

Sampled draft @ Brussels Beer Project. Black, small mocha head. Nose is basic sweet cacao, light plastic, cheap maple, lots of pancake chocolate syrup. Taste is basic sweet pancake chocolate syrup, artificial cacao / mocha feel, sweet, basic maple, candy. Body is chocolate syrup & sugar. Basic, decent chocolate syrup with some maple brew. Not bad. Felt a bit too artificial.

Sampled draft @ Brussels Beer Project. Truly hideous looking beer. It is like this murky mud sludge brown, looks like the bottom of a keykeg or something but apparently the whole keg looked like that, off-white head. Nose is dirty ditch water, metallic, iron, rotting bread, excessive rotting thick yeast,.... Appearance & smell this is like a bad yeast sample or something. Luckily taste isn’t as bad as it looks, it is horribly sweet, banana, sticky sweet, all sugar, sweetest banana imaginable, more sugar & DE yeast. Forget about the hop. Body is murky banana, sugar & yeast sludge to the max. Looks like a clear failure to me, this seems to desperately want fine tuning.

Sampled draft @ Brussels Beer Project. Clear orange, creamy off-white head. Nose is hand soap, caramel & oily USA tropical hops clashing with sweetness. Taste is weird soap, very big esters, oddly almost BE profile, juniper bitterness, faint jenever-like notes, more esters, bitter BE esters, hop notes from the smell are drowned out. Body is esters, juniper, USA fruity hops. Weird, not what I would expect from APA with this hops, I would see this more coming from a small middling BE brewery.

White Frontier Tap Takeover. Not from a nitro tap, but still very smooth. Sara D. would like this one, I think.
