Cask at Thomson’s Bar, Edinburgh. Deep copper and clear with a big white head. Malt, forest fruit and watercress in the aroma. Taste is bittersweet, tastes more like a stronger bitter. There are some unfortunate herby and metallic flavours that come to the fore at the end of the sip and linger in the finish. Passable but it’s got issues. I did get the last pint in the barrel to be fair.

On cask @ the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - citrus and caramel. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - solid but not worth a revisit.
