Description
Canteen Brewhouse is proud to be Albuquerque’s longest-standing brewery, serving our first beer back in 1994. Over the years, we’ve won over 150 local, national and international awards, but we’re most interested in our loyal following of folks who share the same passion for great beer. Join us at the Canteen Brewhouse or Canteen Taproom for a pint, or take home a six-pack, crowler or growler. We want you to believe in beer, too!

Draft at the source. Very dark maroon color, small tan edge head. Aroma of bitter cocoa. Taste is dark milk chocolate. Tasty stuff, my favorite of the night at Vicino.

Amber-red. The palate is a bit husky, but also a bit toasty and caramelly as well. The aroma is mostly caramel. OK for what it is.

Very dark. Not much nose. Has the typical burnt fruit and bitterness of an impy, but the malts are husky and thin. OK.

Medium brown. Citrus hop nose. Hoppy fruit, toasty, slightly chocolatey malt. Finishes dry, clean and lagerish. In a way, that dry clean lager finish is obviously what is intended with this beer, but it doesn’t add anything. This beer needs a sugary ale finish.

Dark brown. Thin, lightly fudgey. Watery finish. Disappointing shadow of a schwarzbier, like the kind you get in a can in Germany.
