Canteen Brewhouse is proud to be Albuquerque’s longest-standing brewery, serving our first beer back in 1994. ABV: 5.5%. Murky medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, moderate orange, zesty, lime, pink guava, moderate yeasty, tart - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, tart, zesty, citric, lime, orange, pink guava. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20180809]

Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 3 09/08/2018. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is green berries, gooseberry wheat, grassy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, white grape, tangy green apple, pinch of salt. Palate is tangy green apple, highish carbonation. Bruised semi sweet. Meh.

Cask at GBBF 2018. Low key but tart vinous aroma. Opaque amber. Thick creamy off-white head. Sour it not overly so. Smooth. Some underlying creamyness. Thick bodied. Creamy. Soft to flat. Long finish. Easy drinking sour.

Cask at GBBF 2018. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, sweaty, tart, musty, apricot, nectarine and lactic. The taste is dry, soft, sour, tart, tangy, umami, apricot, peach, earthy, lactic and bracing acidity with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fair.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light lemony tartness. Little lemon sherbet. Mild white wine. Modest savoury vibe. Light semi crisp finish. Tidy.

On tap at Il Vicino. Pours a nice orangish copper with a finger of foam and aromas of classic American IPA... a bit of lemon and resin. Flavor is similar to nose. Clean and classic old school IPA.

From old tasting notes, sampled on cask gravity at GBBF 2015. Pours copper brown with no head. Aroma: sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruits, hint of citrus. Taste: heavy sweet, rich, caramel, toffee, fruit cake, rum barrel, vanilla, figs, raisins, light spices. Full bodied, almost no carbonation, sticky mouthfeel, short bitter finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, light piney. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, piney, riped fruit, orange, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat to soft. Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Hazed orange with an off white head. Nose is tangy citric peel, lactic tang, pink berry must, grains. Taste comprises herb, damp straw, spice, funky bite, dried berries, lemon drizzle. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough novelty Gose.
