A boutique style brewery situated in a former maltsters in the heart of Sowerby bridge. Our 8 barrel copper clad brewhouse is on display in the downstairs bar, however, we quickly outgrew this kit and so we now brew on a 16 barrel brew house in the cellar.

Cask @ Hogs Head Brewhouse, Sowerby Bridge. Clear golden with a thick creamy head. It's strong tasting and its nose points to this too. Has a hoppy dryness in its taste.

Cask @ Hogs Head Brewhouse, Sowerby Bridge. Golden-amber with a head. It's very malty with lots of bitterness.

Cask at GBBF �17, day one, 08/08/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan cap. Nose is biscuit, chocolate, brown bread, light roast malts. Taste comprises earthy roasted tones, dark fruit rinds, cocoa powder, toffee, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent porter.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy deep brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Sweet dark chocolate malts. Bubblegum esters. Little dark fruits. Dry and slightly bitter roast finish. Tasty enough.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark maroon brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of nut, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit and hop. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finishes nutty and malty.

Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 1. A dark brown beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of mild sweet caramelish malt, some Chocolate. Taste of toasted malt, biscuit, Chocolate, bitter roasted malt.

Cask at the GBBF 2017. Day 1. 08/08/2017. A reddy nut brown coloured pour with a lasting a halo ooff white head. Aroma is earthy nutty malts, twig, dried fruit. Flavour is composed of tangy red berries, nutty malts, earthy little coco. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet decent cask condition. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF. It pours hazy deep brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is bitter-sweet, earthy roast, umami, liquorice, chocolate, ashy, plum, sticky fruit and hoisin sauce. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, charred wood, ashy, cacao nibs, sticky toffee, leather and toasted nut with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Okay.

Cask @ Hogshead Brewhouse, Sowerby Bridge. Almost black with a creamy head. Spicy, leaving a small fire in the palate, but it’s not overbearing, and its stout character is maintained.
