Cask at EBf28. Soft fruity aroma - unexpected. Light chestnut. Bubbly white head. Initially malty before a berry bitterness comes through. Some hints of sweetness. Light bodied and on the thin side. Flat. Relatively abrupt finish. OK. Certainly drinkable but not particularly interesting.

Barrel aged original recipe, at Egham Beer Fest. 13/04/17. Thin liquorice aroma. Gusher of a head. Settlement s down I to a decent beige wedge. Slightly off-putting appearance - muddy pond water brown. The taste matches the aroma - all low key. Coffee, berries, roasted malts. But all dialled down. Light bodied. Watery but does get army into the finish. Average.

Cask-conditioned at the Express Tavern, Kew Bridge 17/11/2016. Dark brown in colour, with a frothy, beige, head. Aroma of toasty malts with some berry fruit sweetness. Easy drinking, with toasted malt flavours, a hint of caramel and dryish finish. Good.
