11/6/2018. Cask at the Newcastle Arms. Pours golden with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, fruit, malt, grass, caramel and flowers. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, very soft carbonation. Fruity finish with a little increase in bitterness. Not bad.

6/6/2018. Cask at the Cumberland Arms, Ouseburn, Newcastle. Pours maroon brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, wood, coffee, caramel and hints of citrus, liquorice and berries. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Dry finish. Decent brew.
