Bottle shared with Lyoli on the Eurostar, bound for Brussels; this will probably be the last lager of the weekend. Pours cloudy gold with a forthy, pure white foam head. Doughy malts nose with sugary white bread notes. Medium sweet flavor with strong dough, faint spices, faint hay. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes mostly mellow, though there is a slight bready crispness with further notes of hay and some straw, very light notes of corn and cereal, some white sugar. It’s a very basic lager, but it’s also quite refreshing in its simplicity.

Bottle on the train to Luton Airport, London. Pours light, hazy gold with a fine, white foam head. Rich, toasty caramel malt nose with some toasty sugars. Big sweet flavor with lots of bread, toast, light caramel, some golden raisins. Medium to full bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Slightly syrupy. Sweet finish with faint warmth, toffee and mild ripe fruits. Nice sweet lager. Filling.

Bottle at home in London, shared with Lyoli after a long day of cleaning, cycling, Kernel and London Fields. Pours cloudy amber with a fine, filmy white head. Nose holds lots of doughy toast. Medium sweet flavor, some toasty cereal, toasty sugar, some toasty dough. Yep. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Mild sweet finish, more of the same toasted malts, toasted dough and cereal, very mild toasted hay bitterness. It’s a fine dark lager. Quite refreshing overall, with very few faults - if any. I like this.

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, metallic gold with a sturdy, white foam head. Yep, some nice grainy malts on the nose, some light toast, toasty sugar. Medium sweet flavor with some dry caramel, toast, bread, light hay, grains, subtle bitterness, honey. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sticky sweet on the finish with more toast, caramel, bread, grain, dirty hay, mild earth. Relatively dry, too, which alleviates some of the sugary sweetness. Mediocre to average overall.

Bottled, thanks jolo! Clear dark brown, brief head. Coffee-like roastiness in the nose. Mid sweet ith medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Roasty malt flavours and not much else. Low bitterness. Solid, but with little depth.
