On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Slight haze. Nose - tropical fruit such as banana and papaya. Luscious and some citrus lurking. Taste - a tug of war between citrus and tropical fruit. The banana and mango take early advantage but bitter orange has the final word. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - lovely and interesting.

Cask-conditioned at the Windmill, Portishead, Somerset 24/12/2014. Deep gold in colour, with a tight, but small, white head. A touch of citrus hop, some stone fruits, and crisp, biscuity, malts with a rye-like spicy edge. Finish was bitter and satisfying. Enjoyable.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a slight haze and a nice head. Nose - strangely for a pale beer there is something resembling dark chocolate or coffee. Maybe dried fruits is closer to the actual note. Taste - sultanas and dried orange. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - decent ale and very interesting.

On cask from Robin Hood, Millhouses - Clear straw yellow body, lacing white head. Grassy nose, citrus and hay in there too. Taste has bite of sharp citrus and a finish as long as promised. A good one for a hot day ironically.
