Description
The brewery is still a small family run operation and currently employs over 20 people. The business was set up by Shane and Alison Parr, with lots of help from Iain and Anne Reid (Alison’s parents) and Innes Reid (Alison’s brother), but we survive and thrive on the great crew we have working with us.
Our brewing plant capacity has been upgraded over the years and now is now 100 brewer’s barrels (28,800 pints) per week, which allows us to meet demand during peak periods. In 2013 we constructed a purpose built, energy efficient brew house, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our environmental impact by saving water and energy.

Keg, half-pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire on 3rd February 2023. Clean and clear golden pour, lasting white head. The brewer is from New Zealand and he's tried to impart some Australasian flavours into this. Not your normal Lager!

500ml bottle: BB 30th November 2023. Drank at home on 2nd February 2023. Dark brown body with an off-white head. Thin bodied for a Chocolate Stout but packs pleasant enough aroma and taste with both hazelnuts and chocolate in the nose and flavour. Lacks a little 'oomph' and depth for me.

500ml bottle from Anthony's of Wellington. A gift from my son, drank at home on 25th January 2023. Cloudy orange body, white head. Tropical fruit nose and a full on Passionfruit semi-sour taste. Interesting beer all round.

500ml bottle from Stan's Superstore, St Martins. Pours a misty gold, minimal head. Aroma brings floral orange, yeast. Actually forgot what I'd poured and started doing something else, took a sip and took a moment to realise what the beer was. Really pleasant witbier character, orange peel and coriander come together harmoniously, perhaps a touch more orange than standard, but a really nice wit overall.

500ml bottle from Everyman's. Pours dark brown, off-white head. Lovely hazelnutty shades, soft chocolatey malts.. seems a little subdued but I'm sure a pairing with Nutella would've brought the flavour out a bit more

500ml bottle from Everyman's, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty yellow, large white head. Gushed a bit on opening. Quite a pleasant witbier, lovely familiar floral wit aromatics, lovely light wit profile to taste, moderate sweetness, light peppery bitterness. Nicely done.
