Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Straw in colour with a dense white head; citrus aroma; light grapefruit bitterness to the fore with a grainy body; fresh grassy hops to finish. Not quite what I’d expect from a December beer.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of butter. The flavor is very dry with strong notes of butter, leading to a very dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
