Cask at the Three Horseshoes, Marlow Bottom. Reddish gold with a thin white head; sour malt aroma; malty taste with a deeply bitter hop finish. A nicely balanced bitter.

Bottle, from Waitrose, Thame Had this before but never got around to rating it. Poured hazy golden/orange with white head, good citrus, soft mouthfeel not bad for a British take on a witbier, I quite enjoyed this.

Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival, September 2004 Going back through my travel log and Merton Beer Festival information tonight and picking up those that escaped entering first time around. Pours copper in colour (like the description states) bit too wishy washy for an IPA but fine enough for a session ale if a little unexciting.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival, Winter Beer Festival 2005 Going back through my travel log and Merton Beer Festival information tonight and can’t believe I’ve missed so many out. A lovely spring beer, light golden, crisp and refreshing poured with a nice white quickly disappearing head, and as I recall a popular beer at Mertons first Beer Festival, I rather liked this beer.

cask at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford, 07-10-07 Poured dark brown, little in the way of aroma but some malts. Smooth tasting, some fruits but ultimately a bit thin watery and bland.
