Cask@GBBF2007. Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel malts, some wooden and nectary hints. Flavour is caramel, toffee, wood and some fruityness. Leaves a sticky palate with some caramelly hints staying long in aftertaste.

Cask at the Kings Head, Fritwell, Oxon, 05-08-07 Poured amber in colour, nice fruity aroma which not surprisingly was replicated in the mouth, good solid, fruity beer with nice dry finish. Very nice.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Cehstnut body with a beige head; fruity aroma; fruity in the mouth to start with, then developing roasted malts, quite sweet and nutty; with a drying finish. Quite complex and interesting.

One of the better Rebellion beers, I thought. Pours a dark ruby colour with some off-white head. Malty aroma and a slightly salty flavour countered with some good malt sweetness. Quite drinkable and somewhat unusual.

Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 07-07-07. Poured reddy amber and was very much a standard fruity malty bitter, I’m not so sure you need to re-rate this Glen as I think you may be a little bit disappointed if you went back to it again, it did very little for me at all.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading.A rich mahogany colour with a beige head; malty and floral aroma; fruity body with blackberries, plums and raspberries. A slight bitterness, leading to a clean sharp finish, again reminiscnet of raspberries. A excellent example of a mild.
