Cask (handpump) @ Pommeler’s Rest, SE1 London. Clear yellow golden color with a average white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, grass, toffee, sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter in a nice balance. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Cask at The Monks’ Retreat, Reading Very light in appearance and very lively, almost lager like; good citrus flavour with a pineapple-like sweetness, followed by some bitterness. Refreshing, would make an excellent summer drink, but wasn’t waht I was expecting from a Christmas seasonal.

Cask condition handpull at Westgate, JDW, Canterbury. Pale gold, lasting off white head. Little bit yeasty. Quite rich hop, slightly sweat, slightly sweaty. Bit grassy on end. Some juicy malt. Not a bad sweetish blond beer. Fullish in mouth.

Bottle: straw colour with little white head and very light carbonation; yeasty, bready aroma; crisp citrus taste with a sweet after taste. Probably better served colder.

Cask at The Bell, Nottingham: clear amber with a long lasting white head; biscuity aroma, balanced malt/hop taste with some fruit. As others have said, not an IPA, but a good session bitter.

Cask at GBBF 2006. My first beer of the festival on Wednesday lunchtime. Deep copper colour, lasting bubbly beige head. Hop and caramel aroma, bit thin in mouth, malts are a little disappointing, but slightly caramelly. Some hop bitterness. I still haven’t been won over by this brewery.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Chestnut colour with lasting thin beige head. Fruity malt aroma, red berry. Grapefruity hop. Nice enough bitter, red berry fruits and hop. Maybe lacks a little body in mouth. Still, a good beer.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival Fri July 7th 2006. You have to hand it to Rebellion they do produce some solid, good quality beers and red and fruity is a very accurate description of this one along with a nice maltiness and some hops this really was a jolly decent beer.

Cask gravity at Catford BF 2006. Amber/orange colour with disappearing white head. I could smell diacetyl from a mile off. It’s overly toffee dominated. Some hop one end, does get better, but still I didn’t like it at all.
