75cl bottle from my local Co-Op, Shrewsbury. 5.3%. Pours cloudy yellow, sherbet aroma. Sugary sweet perry taste, thin pear coming through with green apple acidity. Its sweet fruitiness gets more pronounced and thus more drinkable as you journey on, but I can’t see it winning many hearts.

75cl bottle from my local Co-Op, Shrewsbury. Has a promising fruity aroma, pours with a sparkle which quickly diminishes. Deep clear gold appearance. Bottle says "dangerously dry" and I wouldn’t argue with that, very little fruitiness coming through, very slight acidic elements, the slightest hint of bittersweet apples. Alright but just lacking a bit of colour on the palette.

Bottle that I picked up from The Hop Pocket, Bishop’s Frome, Herefordshire, consumed 03.11.10 very pale silvery/gold good clarity maybe a touch of haze. There is the merest hint of sulphur on an otherwise peary nose. Nice fizziness, good and zappy tang to this, yes there is pears and it’s dry and I don’t get a lot else but I rather like this, nice stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Plastic cask at GBBF 08. Silver gold, cloudy. Cheese pear aroma. Lacks a bit of body maybe. No real sharpness or character. The pear fruit is fine. Bit dull. But fine.
