Pint at the downtown taproom. Pours a clear, reddish, brown color, with a fair, tan head. The aroma is caramel, pine sap, wet grass, and coriander. Sweet and malty, with a bracing, rough bitterness. Light to medium body, biting, and grainy. Not too bad.

Picked up somewhere in ABQ, probably a grocery store. Pale gold with a light haze. The thin, frothy head is of modest duration. Grainy aroma with a touch of vanilla. Taste is bitter, finishing both metallic and with a light vanilla sweetness. Body to the light side of medium, easy-drinking, refreshing. The lingering vanilla is the highlight of an otherwise subpar outing.

Gravity Cask at GBBF '16, day 3, 11/08/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is sticky tropical fruits, melon, hint of cheese, straw, orange peel. Taste comprises mandarin, tangerine, straw, light grapefruit notes, toasted malts, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with balanced light juicy hop bitterness. Not bad ... the nose lets it down a touch ... almost like an off note about it but thankfully didn't translate to the taste.

Keg at the brewery, 1/24/22. Bartender didn't meantion oak, so I'm not sure if the 2021 vintage has them. Not going to put in a new beer but perhaps this entry and the 2019 vintage need to be split if someone has more info. Black, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, leather, hints of smoke and dark fruit. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, resiny hop, dark fruits. Thin for the style. The aroma set me up for an amazing beer and I was a bit let down. Still a very good beer though.
