170ml draught at Ølhallen in Tromsø. Slowly fading tan-coloured head, remaining layer. Clear mahogany coloured body. Spotty lacing to the glass. Smell of brown malts with notes of dried fruits. Slightly jam-like taste, dark caramel and mild spiced fruits. Malt bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Nice beer, however, not exactly suitable for the right springtime feel (27.05.2014).

Fra kran på Ølhallen. Mørk gylden. Pent skum som varer litt. Litt lite aroma. Spor av plommer. Smaken er en kaskade ar frukt, blomster & bær. Toner ut med en ettersmak av frukt og blir litt syrlig. Lager?

Flaske 0,33l. Gave fra Rune. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som varer. Litt lacing. Skyet. Forsiktig fruktig aroma. Smaken litt tung - men et klart maltpreg. Uvariert. “Pils” var litt misvisende.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and breadish. Bitter and roasted malty. Lingering dark roasted malty. Dry and bitter into the far finish. Dry.

Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and roasted coffee. Sweetish, malty taste, with notes of roasted coffee beans and touches of liquorice. Sourish and bitetr aftertaste. OK but nothing revolutionary.
