Description
Up Front Brewing was founded in 2015 with the aim of sharing our love of exceptional beers and great artwork, with a wider audience.

Here at Up Front we have no loans, no investors, and no kickstarter funding - everything is paid for up front. We brew by renting space in other people’s breweries, with each batch paid for as it’s brewed.

We have very little in the way of overheads, which allows us to spend a considerable amount of time and effort into researching and experimenting with new yeast, bacteria, ingredients, and brewing techniques from around the world. We brew mostly out of 71 Brewing in Dundee, but also use other breweries as and when required.

Up Front has used both Drygate and Alechemy as a base.

Can from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours hazy orange with a thin white head. Aromas of pineapple, papaya and melon rind. Taste has orange juice, tropical fruit, melon again. Lightly estery finish.

Can from Appellation Wines. 5.8% so maybe a different beer. Also mentions passionfruit, coriander and salt. (It says pink Himalayan salt, but salt's salt.) Have cake. Eat cake. That's how cake works. Anyway pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of passionfruit and citrus. Taste is fruity, light sour, coriander seed and salt coming through. Something not quite doing it for me.

Large foamy white head left a froth on an unclear golden body. Chalk, malt & herbal aroma. Medium bodied, initially smooth followed by sharp, dry clean back. Chalky, herbal, floral & lime tastes with an extremely bitter saline finish. It's a grower - palate cleanser.

Appearance- black, with a small tan fizzy head which goes quickly. Aroma- caramel, vanilla, bourbon hints, chocolate, dark fruit hints, Christmas cake. Taste is boozy oaky bourbon, chocolate, fruitcake, Christmas pudding, vanilla, toasted coconut, blended dark fruits. Spicy coconuty finish, sweet booze in the finish. Quite easy drinking for 10%, sweet though.

Weak foam on cloudy hazy orange. Coriander and orange zest aroma. Taste is ridiculous puckeriness, vile ending of citrus with no distinction. Just missing on all fronts, an acid bomb. A harsh drug induced fake Berlin ecstasy vibe that shouldn't be replicated - all that noise and nothing to it.
