Description
Up Front Brewing was founded in 2015 with the aim of sharing our love of exceptional beers and great artwork, with a wider audience.
Here at Up Front we have no loans, no investors, and no kickstarter funding - everything is paid for up front. We brew by renting space in other people’s breweries, with each batch paid for as it’s brewed.
We have very little in the way of overheads, which allows us to spend a considerable amount of time and effort into researching and experimenting with new yeast, bacteria, ingredients, and brewing techniques from around the world. We brew mostly out of 71 Brewing in Dundee, but also use other breweries as and when required.
Up Front has used both Drygate and Alechemy as a base.

Shrewsbury Monthly Beer Share; Chez Sophie, 11th April 2022. Five guys all passionate about beer bringing their thoughts and offerings to split between us. Cheers Mark for the 440ml can of this. White head on a misty golden body. I got more salt than anything else, apart from a passionfruit blast and some sourness. Couldn't find any Coriander or much lemon like Kalamansi flavours. Not my sort of thing really.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April 22. Misty gold appearance, pure white head. Excellent passionfruit character, smooth and luscious with a vibrant fruity aroma and a light salty touch emerging. Excellent fruity imperial gose.

Can from Appellation Wines. 5.8% so maybe a different beer. Also mentions passionfruit, coriander and salt. (It says pink Himalayan salt, but salt's salt.) Have cake. Eat cake. That's how cake works. Anyway pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of passionfruit and citrus. Taste is fruity, light sour, coriander seed and salt coming through. Something not quite doing it for me.

Large foamy white head left a froth on an unclear golden body. Chalk, malt & herbal aroma. Medium bodied, initially smooth followed by sharp, dry clean back. Chalky, herbal, floral & lime tastes with an extremely bitter saline finish. It's a grower - palate cleanser.

Appearance- black, with a small tan fizzy head which goes quickly. Aroma- caramel, vanilla, bourbon hints, chocolate, dark fruit hints, Christmas cake. Taste is boozy oaky bourbon, chocolate, fruitcake, Christmas pudding, vanilla, toasted coconut, blended dark fruits. Spicy coconuty finish, sweet booze in the finish. Quite easy drinking for 10%, sweet though.
