Description
Clavell & Hind, a microbrewery inspired by Gloucestershire's most infamous highwaymen. Travelling the coaching routes of the south-west, these daring robbers would celebrate their wins and drown their sorrows at inns and public houses along the way.

Moved from their Birdlip site to a new site in Elmstone Hardwick in late 2023

Cask at their new taproom. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, pale malts. Taste of citrus, lemon, vaguely tropical, biscuity/crackery malt, bitter finish. This felt more hoppier than their IPA strangely enough.

Cask at their new taproom. A slightly hazed golden, white head. Aroma of floral grassy hops, pale malts. Taste is the same floral and grassy, some fruitiness, biscuity malt, lingering bitterness. Standard trad IPA.

Bottle received as a Christmas present. Golden with a carbonation, clear with next to no head. Hoppy pale at an easy sessionable strength.

Half on cask at Sandford Park Alehouse, Cheltenham. Pours almost clear golden with a white cap. Soft & fruity with the sabro detectable but not overpowering, grassy finish. Light sweet & bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Gloucester Services. Pours clear ruby mahogany wiyj a beige cap. Aroma: toasted malts, caramel, toffee, berry fruits. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, hedgerow fruits, caramel, toffee, dark berries. Medium body with soft carbonation. Tasty Irish Red.

Pours a coppery amber colour with a small thin off-white head. The aroma is malty and caramel with ripe dark fruity notes. A moderately sweet to light sweet malty taste, sweet malts, caramel and red berry and dark fruit flavours with a moderately bitter finish.

Cask at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2021. Deep chestnut brown colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are light citrus, with a medium body.
