Keg at Oktupus, Liverpool. It pours clear rich golden with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is sweet, tart, apple skin, gooseberry, grape, perfumed, candied peel and sponge cake. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, light bitterness, apple skin, white grape, gooseberry, vinous, peppery spice, straw, touch of citrus and some alcohol heat with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Dry, tart and vinous in place. Interesting stuff.

Keg at BD Liverpool. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, ripe stone fruits, apricot, peach, tangerine, nectarine, orange chewits and orange creamsicle. The taste is dry, bitter, bright, apricot, tangerine, kumquat, pithy, zesty, floury bread, grass, straw and tonic water with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Plenty of flavour packed in for this kind of abv. Nice stuff.

Keg @ Kilder. Pours misty gold, aroma is lightly sour, some prickly herbal hop. Taste is a little odd, infected perhaps, sour off-notes, seems prickly stonefruit is involved, but on the whole not that enjoyable.

Keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Yellow and hazy with a small bit of uneven white head and considerable lacing. Light aroma bordering on the nonexistent: lemon peel, candy sugar. Sweet citrus taste with more candy sugar and a touch of smoke. Short finish, thin body and too much carbonation. Reasonably good but slightly disappointing considering the other Black Lodge beers I've had.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 27/7/2018. Hazy and deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet raspberry and tangerine fruits, yeasty, grainy malts, a touch of citrus hop and dryish finish. Ok.
