Description
WHEN YOU SIT DOWN WITH A BEER, YOU’RE AFTER SOMETHING. Maybe it’s nuanced layers of flavor, the siren call of a favorite hop, or to test your skill identifying stone fruit tasting notes. Maybe you’re chasing the new or craving the familiar, perhaps you just want to kick back for a drink with friends—and order another of the same. At Bearded Iris, our beers meet you where you are and deliver the experience you seek, whatever it might be, because that’s what we believe makes beer worth drinking. CULTIVATE VARIETY DRIVES US AT BIBCO. (WE’RE NOT KIDDING.) With a menu that skews heavily toward IPAs, DIPAs, and pales, it can appear that we don’t, in fact, cultivate much “variety.” But here’s the thing: we’re not looking to bombard you with a checklist of styles. Instead, we know that each hop varietal and every intentionally selected ingredient contains a multitude of possibilities that can be deliberately unlocked and unleashed, then honed and hemmed in tightly, to construct a pint that’s unapologetically itself, memorably composed, and fun to drink. Every time. Regardless of style. To us, that’s the variety worth cultivating. And that’s what we bring to your table.

Strong notes of peach, lychee, earth, and a floral vein, followed by lemon zest and a little dank. Herbal undertone leads to a slightly tart, slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

A little rough around the edges. Wet grain undertones mix with a vegetal note in the hops to produce a background funkiness. Lots of citrus pith and tropical notes on the front, while the back is minerals and an unexpected booziness for an 8% beer. Expected more based on the pedigree.

Lovely pils, bright and floral, with a healthy malt base adding cracker notes and mild hints of apple and citrus peeking through underneath. Finishes with a clean, lingering bitterness laced with a touch of yeast and fruit. Very good.

On tap at Servehzah, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with piney hops, resinous hop oils and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is juicy, with lots stone fruits, piney and resinous hops, and sweet biscuity malt. Super juicy, somewhat dank, with sturdy hops. Excellent.

$4.30 pint can, WW. Hazy to murky orange with a soft white head. Nose is cat piss (heavy, and not usually off-putting, but this is heavy), pine, tropical fruit. Dank hops, pine, grapefruit peel, tropical flavors without being specific.
