Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.
Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Can from Appellation Wines. Lumpy pour. I don't mind a bit of haze but this fecker has a good cm of crud slowly settling out. Otherwise it's a yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of resin, tinned pineapple and peaches. Taste is peaches and cream. And bitty. I threw the last inch away as I didn't fancy chewing the last mouthful.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy opaque darkest brown with a quickly dissipating khaki head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toasted pecan, savoury, salty, pecan pie, maple, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, earthy roast, umami, cacao nibs and coffee grounds. The taste is dry, roasty, bitter - sweet, umami, savoury, salty, toasted pecans, pecan pie, light tannin, bitter dark chocolate, brownies, maple glaze donut, coffee grounds and a touch of spice with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Does what it says on the tin, but thankfully isn't nearly as sweet as I feared. Not bad. Could be done with a bit more condition.
