Description
Picture yourself eating a handful of red raspberries, drinking a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade, or sipping on a glass of fine wine. Those sour, tart, and acidic flavors you are currently imagining are what makes sour beer taste quite different from traditional beers. These flavors, which are unique to sour beers, are the product of time and the right mix of microorganisms. While our sour beers age in oak barrels for an average of one year, a blend of microorganisms will shape the sour, tart, and acidic flavors that we’ve come to desire. Yes, sour beers take an exceptionally long time to develop, but we think that sour beers are well worth the wait.

After The Lost Abbey I didn't think there was anywhere to go in terms of amusing American brewery names. How wrong I was. Bottle. Just unclear pink-tinged amber with a dense coat of near white head. Aroma of old lemon, plums, rose hips, twigs, oak. Moderately sour but also surprisingly sweet with plums and their skins. Somewhat creamy texture. A little oakier at the end - that's really it for the finish. It does grip more after a while. Pretty good.

Can. Pours crystal clear golden, small off white head, good lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, touch of passionfruit. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter. Pretty traditional wc hop and malt profile, sweetness consistent with a triple. Clean. Medium body. Bit of an ABV burn

Bottle at home. As 7,7 % ABV. One year old. Pours a cloudy pale orange colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, heather, apricots, plums and peaches. Flavour of grape skin, oak, apricots, green apples, peach candy and lemon. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a soft bitterness. Fruity and sour. One of a kind.
