Handpull cask at the Ilson Tap, Ilkeston. Pale gold, bordering on straw. Clear with a tiny ring of head leaving a lot of lacing. Grainy aroma with some hay, toffee, buttered toast. Taste is considerably more sprightly, with an initial husky almost lagery grain being overcome by intense bittering hops. Not the most exciting beer you are likely to try but I'm drinking it wonderfully fresh.
