Description
The Hop & Stagger started brewing in early 2012 at the back of the rear of the White Lion in Bridgnorth. The microbrewery consists of a 2 and a half barrel brewing system - enough to make 90 gallons in a single brew.

Bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Appearance - pale yellow golden. Slightly off white, quickly disappearing head. Nose - floral honey and lemon. Taste - big lemon, lime and honey notes. Palate - close to medium bodied, tangy texture and sweet tangy finish. Overall - decent.

Bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Appearance - golden with a snow white head. Nose - citrus and barley. Taste - more lemon or orange barley water. Brown bread on the finish. Palate - light bodied, decent texture and a dry finish. Overall - a good example of the style.

A beautifully clear golden colour with a creamy white head, and a faint floral aroma. Has a lovely, smooth mouthfeel with some citrus notes in the flavour and a really nice bitterness which lasts into the finish.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours almost black with a tight cream head. Nose has a hint of chocolate, but not much else. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with coffee and cherries featuring in different areas. Finish is creamy and slightly bitter. Extremely drinkable.

Cask at the White Lion Inn, Bridgnorth. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is malt, light citrus, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, fruity, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tried at the Newark Beer Festival. Pale hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma citrus. Taste light sweet and a juicy body. Mediumoily body.

Cask @ White Lion, Hop & Stagger's brewery tap, Bridgnorth. Pours clear amber, small white head. Lightly sweet malt on the nose, taste is perhaps hoppier than the average bitter, with a pronounced bitterness and some distant caramel. Nice edge to this.
