Description
Nestled on a hill overlooking the River Tyne, surrounded by workshops and fishmongers, Flash House Brewery opened the doors to our North Shields Tap Room in April 2016. From our 5bbl Plant, only a stones throw from the revitalised Fish Quay, we brew small batch, expertly crafted world beers in the old heartland of the industrial North East.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby. Pours a hazy very pale straw with minimal off-white head. Not much of an aroma, just some vague citrus. In the mouth it is initially quite sweet but with some underlying dryness. After a while it becomes more bitter with floral hops and oranges plus traces of citrus and ginger. Dryness returns in the finish. This is quite decent and refreshing. Not hoppy enough to be an IPA though.

Keg half-pint at the brewery on Saturday 15th April 2023. Sat outside in the sunshine. Light golden pour, clean and clear body, fast fading white cap. Decent enough Pils, refreshing and thirst quenching; more hops than malts but nothing to set it apart from other 'American Pilsners'.

Keg half-pint at the brewery on Saturday 15th April 2023. Typical of the style, light golden body, snow white cap that soon disappears. Crisp and refreshing but again true to style it's all a bit bland/subtle and uninteresting.

Two thirds of a pint, hand-pulled at the brewery on Saturday 15th April 2023. Light amber with a cream coloured head. Malty front with a mild hop bitterness towards the finish. Not in the best of condition unfortunately.

Gravity cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark brown and opaque with a ring of tan head. Smoke, balsamic vinegar, molasses in the aroma. Taste isn't much better with notes of soy, dark chocolate, ttobacco.dry sourish finish. Flat. I don't really care for this one.
