Description
Top Rope Brewing are a Liverpool based microbrewery & taproom who love putting hops in a headlock. With a focus on bold, modern styles with a wrestling twist, we brew a little something to keep everyone happy from Ice Cream Pale Ales to big Imperial Stouts, all whilst keeping things Vegan Friendly.

In mid 2024 the brewery became a partner of Legend Whisky which allowed the brewery to avoid ceasing its activities and to continue brewing.

Keg @ Beatnikz Republic Bar, Manchester. Extremely dark with its ingredients producing a milkshake style to the ale. There's a sweetness a notch above its roasted malts in terms of dominance and there's plenty of aroma in this brew.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Cloudy amber with a head. Feeling stronger than it is, this is a fruity effort with a higher citrus influence that creates an acidic citric bitterness for the ale.

Can split at L6, thanks to Dave, 27/06/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is ripe citric flesh, bitter orange, dank strokes, grass. Taste comprises ripe citric pith, pine, grapefruit, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Passable DIPA … a touch basic.

Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a glow and a small head. Dryish, but it’s crisp enough to drink from keg, making it a light fruity-hoppy ale.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2019, day 2, St Mary's Church. Pours a misty pink, small white head. Expected some kind of fruity berry-like flavours from the appearance, but it comes across primarily as a standard exotic-led NEIPA, perhaps the lightest floral notes, but generally looks are a bit deceiving here. The beer itself is great though.
