Description
Top Rope Brewing are a Liverpool based microbrewery & taproom who love putting hops in a headlock. With a focus on bold, modern styles with a wrestling twist, we brew a little something to keep everyone happy from Ice Cream Pale Ales to big Imperial Stouts, all whilst keeping things Vegan Friendly.

In mid 2024 the brewery became a partner of Legend Whisky which allowed the brewery to avoid ceasing its activities and to continue brewing.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Orange-amber with a thin head and a sugary nose. There's a sugary-fruity taste and a fair strength to the ale. There's a slight dryness but a juiciness about it too.

Cask at the Reading Beer Festival. Having really enjoyed my first beer of the fest Aw... Here it Goes) from this brewer, I decided to have a second from them (plus I wanted more Merseyside rates!). Unfortunately this one didn't live up to the first one. It's gold in hue, and it's got a mild citrus (lime marmalade?) taste with a hint of pine. There are too many beers around like this now. It's ok, but pretty forgettable.

Cask at the Reading Beer Festival - apparently it was the first gose they'd ever had on cask there. Cloudy yellow. Good big sweet and sharp lemon flavour, with some sherbet and then some richer fruitiness - not sure I could have recognised it as orange though. Didn't get any salt either. Decent full body for the low abv. Tasty and refreshing and very more-ish. Yum, a great opener for the fest.
