Jeju Pellong Ale APA 5.5% Deep amber color that’s got a hint of brown to it with thick light beige foam. The aroma is old Skool bitter citrus. Medium to full bodied with a decent mouthfeel. This is bitter pithy citrus with sweet malts. Like an imported IPA I would’ve drink 10 years ago in Japan. OK for the price(about 3-4000 won). Can from CU convenience store.

Jeju Wit Ale 6.6% paired with Cheese Industry Gouda cheesecake. On its own the wit was rough tasting and thin bodied. It was definitely a lemon and coriander witbier but fairly simple as well as seeming slapdash. The cheesecake smoothed things out and elevated it. On its own 3-3.2 but paired 3.2-3.4

Can shared with friends in Cambodia. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy toffee malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, toffee caramel malt, light juicy citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Bought at an Oriental store in Ipswich. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of ash, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness, slight tart edge. Moderate body, oily, quite fizzy. Apart from the fizz this was nice.
