2014. Een kleine groep enthousiaste bierliefhebbers en een droom ontmoeten elkaar. Dat die lief konden hebben bleek wel! Dat ze dromen konden verwezenlijken ook! Inmiddels bestaat het brouwteam uit 7 toegewijde mensen met brouwer Rob Bours, destijds huurbrouwer ‘Brasserie Bours’, aan het creatieve roer. Samen met David Hendrich, schrijver van het boek ‘historische brouwerijen van Eindhoven’, en oprichter van Eijkenrode bier hebben zij Brouwerij 100 Watt het leven ingeblazen.

In 2023 bundelden we onze krachten met niemand minder dan van Moll en Stadsbrouwerij 013 om samen een gloednieuwe brouwerij te creëren, onder de naam Lighttown Brewers. We kijken uit naar een stralende toekomst vol smaakvolle avonturen. Proost op wat komen gaat!

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for this bottle! Smooth malty beginning. Grain there, roast and liquorice. Thick, slightly sourish, round and refreshing. Viscous body, fruity with sourish hints, lots of dark roasted burned caramel, thick with a fruity bitter roasted ending. Oily body, liquorice in the end as well, burned grain, round and highly drinkable. Nice.

Flesje gekregen van TomHendriksen. Licht amberkleurig bier. Bij het inschenken erg wild maar het schuim trekt snel weg. Aroma is kruidig. Ook de smaak is kruidig en hoppig. De nasmaak is bitter, misschien zelfs iets te bitter.

33cl bottle. Pours almost clear deep golden colour with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of intense fruity bitter hops, grassy and floral bitterness. Taste of floral bitter hops, grassy, green tea, high drinkability, nice!

33cl bottle from Mitra van Bergen Eindhoven. Pours clear deep golden colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dry floral hops, flowers. Taste of dry medium bitter hops, floral hops, flowers, interesting.

330ml bottle from trade with MonsterMagnet. Many thanks! Pours hazy deep amber, thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is jagged caramel, leafy malt, pine. Taste continues in a similar fashion, quite malt-heavy with shades of pine & resin.
