Cask at the White Horse, Parson’s Green. It pours opaque black, with a thin tan head. The nose is bitter-sweet dark chocolate and coffee. The taste is caramel, treacle, salt, dark fruit, lactose, wood, dark cherry and a touch of smoke, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good balance, medium body and soft carbonation. Nice.

Cask at the White Horse, London. Pours brown with a moderate, tan head. Has really sweet, like, cocoa liqueur aroma. Reminds me of Baileys. Medium sweet flavor with, yes, a Baileys-esque creamy coffee character. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, faintly roasty finish, bit of mocha, bit of coffee liqueur. Interesting and alright.

On tap in Cloisters, Edinburgh. Pours a hazy amber with a good head. The nose has biscuits with a hint of ginger. The taste is more of the ginger biscuits and caramel on the end. The palate has a medium structure a full texture and a finish which could be better - a sweet and cloying unfortunately. Overall, happy to have tried one, but won’t look for it again.
