Description
Our real ales are hand crafted with the local palate in mind, and to exacting standards. We take great pride in the production of our products which are brewed traditionally, with no concentrates, colourings or extract and with accent on the taste of yesteryear. When was the last time you savoured the aroma of a mass produced beer, or tasted its wholesome natural flavour?

Opened in 1995. Moved in 2000 from Gillfoot Brewery, Southerness, Kirkbean.

Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 1 07/08/2018. Aroma is semi sweet fruity berries, pale grains, green apple. Palate is semi sweet, lowish carbonation.. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, Base malts, hedgerow berries, apple. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF '18, day 1, 07/08/18. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is sweet malts, light perfume, lemon rind, grassy aroma. Taste comprises toasted grains, light citric drizzle, straw, lemon rind, pale malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Passable golde.

[ As Sulwath Tri-ball Tribute ].
ABV: 3.9%. Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity hops, pale malt, fruity malt, sweet malt, light citrus - grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180807]

Cask at GBBF. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, floral, elderflower, melon and toasty grain. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, elderflower, toasty grain, melon, apple and pepper with a slick, oily finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Not great condition and a bit sweet. Fair.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Twangy citrus. Orange and tangerine. Some peel. Light finish. Passable.

Bottle from Aldi Inverurie. If pours clear deep amber with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is earthy, wood, toasty, peanut, leather and some spice. The taste is dry, bitter, wood, leather, toasted nut, a bit chewy, spiced, dried florals and a touch of ash with a drying, slightly tannic finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit chewy and woody. Fair.
