Tap @ Arendsnest, small sample. Cloudy golden color, short to no head, leaving hardly any lacing. Quite tart aroma, bit grainy, salted macademia nuts. Taste is salty and nutty again, really sour. I can handle a couple of sips and its quite ok, but couldnt finish the glass. Too much sourness and the salted nuts is such a weird combination, it doesnt invite to drink more.

Carnivale Brettanomyces festival, Amsterdam 2014. Opaque yellow color, virtually no head. Not sure what to make of the aroma and flavor, I haven’t really tasted a beer like this before. Hmm not bad but I’ve had better from Oedipus.

Sampled @ Beer Temple. Dark brown color, virtually no head. Sour aroma that to be honest doesn’t really smell fresh imo. Taste is very sour, sour fruit peel. Too sour for me, not that I can’t drink it, but I don’t like it.

Tap @ In de Wildeman. Murky light brownish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste sourness, plants, a hint of leaves, a hint of mint, a hint of tea and a mix of red fruit. Something weird in there as well but I can’t figure out what it is. Overall I don’t really like it. The plant-like flavors really annoy me.

Tap @ In de Wildeman. Very hazy very pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste are quite fruity, lemon, citrus, lime. Only lightly sourish, maybe even a bit floral. Yeah this is more like it. Very nice light and easy drinkable refreshing beer. Like it.

@Carnivale Brett. Very fruity and spicy pale ale. Has quite a lot of citrus like fruitiness and a very fresh mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle shared from ABC beers. Pours hazy yellow golden with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus, lemongrass, coriander, spice and herbs. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of dill, which profiles itself as lemon and some vanilla, a bit sweet, dry, hay. Flavour is medium-sweet, spicy, dill, sweet lemons, vanilla, citrus, dry, firm hoppy and almost herbal bitter finish, rye. Light to medium-bodied, somewhat over-carbonated. Tasty.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Almost clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of galanga, lemongrass, ginger, light peppery when the beer warms, some grain, coreander seed. Flavour is medium-sweet, light malty, spicy, lemongrass, galanga, some citrus, light peppery, light-bitter finish. Spiciness is prominent, but well kept in check. Medium-bodied, soft carbonation. Nice.

Clear golden with orange hue and medium sized slight bubbly white head. Nice dry grain character, slight sour citrus, spices, dry bitterness in a raw-vegetable kind of way. Medium to light bodied with dry feel and full carbonation. I hardly get the peppers in this, but veru decent saison.
