Rochdale Easter Ale Trail 2026, Beer#6. Clear pale golden coloured session textured and strength brew. This was flying out of its pump on Good Friday, everyone seemed to be ordering it. Hoppy in the main, sweetish too.

Rochdale Easter Ale Trail 2026, Beer#5. First of two Northern Whisper brews in Our Gracies, this near black one is first up. As the clip indicates, this is a dry tasting stout, with not much roasted character found. This is perhaps best in aroma for this good-looking brew, but even here a sweetness is apparent. Dark-malty in taste.

The name of the beer likely derives from nautical origins of sailors in hammocks. This is a sweet pale ale, unsurprisingly following the taste of the boiled sweet Rhubarb and Custard, it tastes the same. A little overbearing for it, it's fine for a one-off order.

Served in a plastic pint pot, not ideal! Clear gold with a slight chill haze, a frothy white head and a citrus & tropical fruit aroma. Smooth with a little kick, mellow fruit, hop bitterness and a dry finish.

330ml bottle, pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aromas & tastes of grapefruit, citrus, pine & hops. Medium body. Light bitter finish. Very enjoyable
