The name of the beer likely derives from nautical origins of sailors in hammocks. This is a sweet pale ale, unsurprisingly following the taste of the boiled sweet Rhubarb and Custard, it tastes the same. A little overbearing for it, it's fine for a one-off order.

Served in a plastic pint pot, not ideal! Clear gold with a slight chill haze, a frothy white head and a citrus & tropical fruit aroma. Smooth with a little kick, mellow fruit, hop bitterness and a dry finish.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a creamy head. Hoppy first brew but a good second is tropical and exotic notes - both in aroma and taste but a little more stated in the latter of these.
