22 oz. bottle, from the Lincoln Fill Station. Pours black, with a small, beige head. The aroma is chicory, pumpernickel, walnut, cocoa powder, and sawdust. Sweet and a little acerbic, with a mellow bitterness. Heavy, sticky, and lingering. Nice enough, but a little past its prime.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Junction tasting, thanks to the Wingmane, 15/11/23. Black topped with a modest khaki head. Nose is big on peanut butter, chocolate, roast malt, brown sugar melt, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate peanut butter, toffee fudge, nutty tang, dark malts, molasses, mellow bourbon. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lick of booze. Decent but fell short of expectations for me ... particularly in the barrel department.

Bomber at Kenny's..It pours oily jet black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich and intoxicating, toffee, chocolate bourbons, bourbon soaked oak, fudge, rocky road, dried fruits, fruit cake, raisin, sultana and black bun. The taste is slick, oily, toothy, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, rocky road, hot chocolate, warming booze, vanilla fudge, bourbon, bourbon soaked oak, chewy, toothy, some dried fruits and a nip of spice with a drying finish. Fullsome body and fine carbonation, slick mouth feel. Super rich and decadent, but enjoyable.
