We built Fair Winds Brewing Company to provide fresh, local, flavorful craft beers to our neighbors and friends in Fairfax County and throughout the Commonwealth and the District of Columbia. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all; instead we believe that craft beer, like food, should complement the moment and add to the overall experience.

Snallygaster 2017. Light but full of flavors with nothing over the top. This is hard for a big barrel aged imperial stout. It was getting hot at this point and this was still working. 848315

On tap at the brewery and then in growler format. Pours a darker orange with some lightly lacing, white head. Nose is very nicely done, tropical fruit candies, orange, mango, light grass, mildly vegetal. Flavor is well balanced between candy sweetness, tropical fruit and citrus, oranges, tangerine here, melon too. Finishes mostly dry and bitter. One of the better beers in their catalog and a bit of a twist on standard Mosaic beers.
