Snallygaster 2017. Light but full of flavors with nothing over the top. This is hard for a big barrel aged imperial stout. It was getting hot at this point and this was still working. 848315

On tap at the brewery and then in growler format. Pours a darker orange with some lightly lacing, white head. Nose is very nicely done, tropical fruit candies, orange, mango, light grass, mildly vegetal. Flavor is well balanced between candy sweetness, tropical fruit and citrus, oranges, tangerine here, melon too. Finishes mostly dry and bitter. One of the better beers in their catalog and a bit of a twist on standard Mosaic beers.

Tap at the brewery, pours a mostly opaque black with some tight, off white head. Nose is straight up, toast, bread crust, some light yeast, some oats, mild caramel. Flavor follows along, toast, bread, mild chocolate, mild molasses, toffee. Dry finish. Right on point and very drinkable.

Tap at the brewery, clear darker orange with some tight, white head. Nose has a mix of doughy and yeasty bread, perfume, some orange, mild spice, soggy cracker. Flavor has a little sugar, some roasted root veg, malt, orange, dough, mild spice. Finishes off dry. A fall saison, nice enough.

Cask at the brewery, pours a lightly water black with some slim, beige head. Nose has molasses, plenty of cardamom and clove, more raisin than cherry, sugary. Flavor has the porter base, the cherry is gone here, spice, toast, molasses. Finishes sweet.

Some roast and some barrel. Pretty well balanced like walking on hay bales. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Snally.
