Roast and a little caramel. Black pour with decent head. Dark chocolate. Bitter, slightly tangy end with some coffee. Tap.

Deep, dark copper and rich bronze coloured body that is relatively clear, all with a nice, thick, two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of super dank (as expected), resinous hops with pineapple, pine, grass and very sticky sweet, syrupy notes with seemingly a lot of alcohol, too. Full-bodied; Very rich, sweet, syrupy and sticky flavours at first show the resin, fruit and hop notes with still a lot of bitterness left over along with a dry herbal and very malty flavour towards the end, with a bunch of alcohol and punch at the end, but the fruit still hits hard at the end and very tropically, too. Aftertaste shows the resin, alcohol and malt way more than anything else, but those tastes are pretty nice. Not much bitterness or alpha acids left from the hops, but the resin, syrup and tropical fruits are pungent in a good way. Overall, not a bad offering, just not great - but nice to try a local Imperial IPA that's fresh. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Tyson's Corner (Falls Church), Virginia on 25-January-2020 for US$2,99 sampled a day later at home in Washington on 26-January-2020.

ABV: 6.0%. Murky matt medium orange yellow colour with a small, open and fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, wheat, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, onion, orange - blood orange. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, fruity hops, tangerine, blood orange, riped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190806]

Bottle. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, white, head. Sweetish aroma, with ripe lager malts and some leafy hops. Flavour had some toffee, with some solid malt backing and lingering, bitter, finish. Good.

Crystal clear copper coloured body with a thinnish, pure whtie head that fades very fast and leaves only a layer on top. Aroma of bitter funk, earth, grain, light peat, a touch of very stony fruits and not much else - very heavy on the malt components and a lot of lager yeast as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong pungent and biting malt and grain notes throughout with a lot of funk, lager yeast, alcohol and light apple and pear flavours with a touch of metallic and astringent notes on the end, as well. Aftertaste is malt-centric, very deep and bittering and heavy on the alcohol and astringent grain and almost medicinal notes that make this quite bitter and void of complexities. Overall, a pretty poor beer overall that has a light grainy and nutty flavour that makes this lightly interesting, especially for the style, but nothing amazing nor worth searching out, especially for the style. GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small white head. Light palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts. Slightly sour and spicy yellow grapefruit. Pine and a little seltzer. Light dry and slightly bitter finish. Okay.

On tap at Dominion pours a crystal clear dark gold with some sudsy white head. Nose has candied orange peel, malt, honey, some lemon balm. Flavor has orange, malt, honey, lemon, herbs. Dry finish. Easy drinker. 7 3 7 4 13
