Creamy tan head on a dark brown to black beer. Plenty of earthy notes, dark brown sugars, roasted bits, chocolate, toffee, raisin, dark fruits. Medium bodied. Finish is sweeter than I’d prefer with plenty of earthy and fruit notes. A sweet stout that’s generally fine.

Rødbrun noe tåkete med beige skum. Lukter karamell, syltet frukt, trevirke og noe røkt. Fyldig. Smaker rosiner, alkohol, karamell og noe tobakk. Middels lang.

330ml can, shared at a session with Finn. Black-brownish body, tiny fawn-coloured head, shattered lacing. Attractive on the nose, vinous and okay. Solid taste profile of chocolate, caramel, and joined by mid-sweet port wine. Oaky. Long tail, lightly roasted. Full bodied. Among the best Norwegian beers so far in 2026. (Tromsø, 03.08.2026).
