Panda thanks to Wingman. A new Central Waters beer? Nostalgia for me, was a brewery I chased nearly 2 decades ago before the killjoys shut down beer on eBay. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light and smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Nice smooth dark malts, a good creamy sweetness, slightly tangy but lovely cakey chocolate. Mild icing sugar. Light vanilla, very modest use of cinnamon. Light smooth finish. It doesn't blow me away with flavour but it does seduce with it's lightness and very good drinkability. Unusual for any Impy, I think I could keep going with this one.
Sweet, boozy, roasty. Maple syrup, roasty coffee, barrel, chocolate. Some dried fruit in the finish, fairly smooth, nice.

It’s an imperial stout and it’s aged in bourbon barrels. Two steps in the right direction. I have a 12 oz can that is going inside of a snifter, Totally dark brown, almost black, with a skinny ring of taupe foam. The scent is, wow, it is pretty good. Dark chocolate, alcohol, toasted bread and earth. The drink follows closely along. Chocolate malt, scorched grain, a touch of raspberries, bourbon, tobacco and sorghum. I would like a bit more sweetness but that is me. A substantial sensation and a noticeable bitterness, this is a good imperial stout overall.

Aromas are cherries, dark malt, roast. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, not overly sweet with enough roast and carbonation to balance. Okay body. I don't really pick up the rum. Not bad but not great.

Bottle. Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolaty, roasted alcohol and mild glue tones and blackcurrant. Flavour is liquorice, blackcurrant and some alcohol, roast and some sweet bourbon tones. Smooth and kind of silky too. Lovely sipper.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 20 July 2024) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel and a balanced coffee bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, quite sweet. On the sweet side, but really rich, tasty and quite well balanced. Great beer!
