Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is coffee upfront with roasted malt, some liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is medium, on the thin side for the style. Tasty Coffee Stout, so-so for an Imperial.

Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is fruity hops with pine, citrus, some herbal Mosaic, pale malt, and grapefruit. Flavour is lightly sweet with a dry bitter finish. Body is medium. Crisp and dry, very crushable APA with a nice touch of Mosaic hop.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with bourbon, cinnamon, coconut, vanilla beans, coffee here and there, dried dark fruits, some chocolate, booze, and a touch of oak. Flavour is sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Pretty delicious with lots of bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt and cinnamon. Body could be a little more full, but it's hardly an issue. Very good.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, St. Nicolaasga. Lots of bourbon upfront with dark malt, wood, caramel, toffee, warming alcohol, notes of dried fruits, raisins. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness, some booze in the finish. Body is medium to full. Pleasant warming BA Scotch Ale.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with smooth bourbon, oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, touch of almonds, and a little alcohol. Flavour is fairly sweet with a mild to medium bitterness. Body is above medium. Lots of oak and bourbon, yet pretty soft and smooth. Body could be more full. Pleasant to sip on slowly, take the time.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is pretty firm bourbon with malt, vanilla, oak, dried fruits, caramel toffee, alcohol, marzipan, touch of walnuts and nougat. Flavour is heavily sweet and fairly bitter for the style. Body is full. Quite heavy and boozy, sweet, overall not too crazy about this one, but it is nicely sippable.

From tap at Bierfestival Groningen 2019. Big bourbon barrel aroma with vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some fruity hints, mild booze. Medium sweet with a roasty bitterness. Full body, rich. Pretty velvety and balanced, wonderful stuff.

From tap at Bierfestival Groningen 2019. Another strong Bourbon barrel from Central Waters with vanilla, Rye Bourbon, oak, vanilla, chocolate, toffee. Medium sweet, some roasty bitterness, full body. Nice, very heavy on the vanilla and Rye Bourbon.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is toffee malt with bourbon, vanilla, oak, dried fruits, raisins, caramel, and a touch of candy sugar. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. Not as heavy and complex as I expected, that being said this is certainly fine and enjoyable with plenty of character from the bourbon barrel.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is smooth coconut with dark malt, oak, rum, some milk chocolate, caramel and vanilla, lightly alcohol. Flavour is around medium sweet with a light bitterness and a light boozines. Body is full. Balanced and fairly delicate, coconut is there but supportive of the general aroma, rum, very nice.
