Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Black, small head. Oak and vanilla up front. The malt character is rounded, chocolatey and roasty. Loads of licorice in the finish. The cask character doesn’t go over board, and accompanies the other flavours well.

Bottle Pours black with a small tan head. There is a nice ring suplying plenty of very thick lacing. Aroma is a wonderfull combination of chocolate, leather and dark pitted fruit but easy on the smokeiness compared to other IS’s I’ve had recently. The coffee comes charging to the front on the first sip. Covers some of that nice choc flavor a bit much I think. Quite strong/bitter actually and the ABV is noticeable. Feels very slick and smooth. and the finish is a bitter smokey trailer. Actually a very interesting transition from aroma to taste to aftertaste. Thanks again to MrFacto

Bottle Pours a very dark brown with very little head and slight even lacing. Aroma is not very strong but has nice tootsie roll, smokey notes. Flavor is quite smokey, charcoal and not so much of the sweet notes form the aroma. Feel is moderate and yes a litle chalky. Finish is dry and with a campfire bitter flavor. Thanks again to MrFacto

Muddy deep brown body with slight red highlights in the edges. Medium tan head. Potent, rich aroma of oak, vanilla, dense layers of chocolate, and licorice. Heavy emphasis on oak barrel (bourbon) flavor, with roasted coffee beans and dryish chocolate. Slightly rough alcohol finish. The body is quite watery for an Imperial Stout and much of the beer’s character is derived from the oak barrels rather than the malts. That said, this is a smooth drink (until perhaps the last few seconds of the finish). Thanks JCapriotti for this Impy!
