We brew beer that is distinct because we believe that moments together call for something memorable. It could be our Midwestern roots, or the land we draw inspiration from, but crafting the right beer for the right moment is central to us.

Bottle to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a three finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, sweet coffee, black coffee roast, earthy tones and a caramel/toffee malt backbone
Flavor: blends all the prior noted aromas to a robust roasty and semi-sweet to a subtle bitter toned quality; finishes dark chocolatey and roasty coffee toned
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also a light roasty grit trying to nick the tongue a little bit.
Overall: nicely done American porter I would return to.

Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a quarter finger of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet milk chocolate and dark chocolate whiffs, some caramel/toffee notes; light vanilla, barrel notes, sweet and roasty coffee tones with some sweet earthiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and roasty coffee to chocolatey and earthy quality; finishes semi-sweet with some dark chocolate bitterness and vanilla
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper; very smooth along the tongue with barely any barrel spice nipping at the tongue as I thought that would have happened but wow, it's just so subtle
Overall: well, daggum! Such a wonderful beer, I can't believe I was able to try this one!

Pours jet black with a light tan head that fades quickly to cling to the glass. Loads of chocolate, vanilla, coconut, fudge brownie. Has a nice boozy kick but really well balanced in. Really thick. A superb BBA impy.

Keg at Central Waters MKE, 7/31/25. Clear gold, medium white head, average retention. Aroma of very sweet vanilla sugar and not much else. Taste is white sugar, corn, pale malt. Tastes artifical. Not a fan.

Beige lacing on a overly carbonated mahogany coloured body.
Big boozy aroma with vanilla & bourbon.
Medium bodied, lightly carbonated & thinning out to limp back.
Bourbon, vanilla & berry tastes with a huge boozy.
A big let down. Far to boozy for the thin body & wishy washy back.
You can't win 'em all.
