Can pour from Oliver's Beverage Center, Albany. Cola brown, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong brown bread, lighter bourbon and hint of dark fruit. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Strong aroma and flavor with nice balance, very strong brown bread, which is not your typical flavor profile (for stouts or barleywines). Very nice.

Can poured into a snifter. Deep brown with a fizzy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, pecan pie filling, pecans, graham crackers. Initial taste is much the same with a dose of bourbon. Fades to pie filling, chocolate, bourbon. Body is full with pleasant carbonation. Delicious and dangerous.

Brew Export Advent Calendar day something a while bak, can. Darkest brown. Thick frothy foamy beige head. Aroma had dsrk chocolate, espresso and cream liqueur. Boozy. Flavourwise it combines a boozy barrel influence and sour berries with dark chocolate and mocha. Nuts for a praline effect. Creamy. Booze (once more). Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation with a restrained fizz. Long dry astringent finish. Decent stuff. The only thing that let's it down is the lack of body supporting the rest of the brew.

Appearance- dark, cola-brown, a 1-finger light brown foamy head. Aroma is bourbon, dark chocolate, roast malt, rich coffee, cinnamon and spices, vanilla bean. Taste is chocolate, caramel hints, oaky barrel, dark malt, nutty notes, vanilla, good amount of cinnamon. Some peppery hops. Not that full-bodied, surprisingly.

Lots and lots of flavor (pecan and bourbon) to enjoy, not accompanied by too much sweetness and in appearance even a bit watery.

TAP @ Cafe Pardaf. Dark brown, almost black body under a thin beige head. A rather mild version of a pastry stout with roasted malt, chokolate and alcohol. Nice, bold and not too sweet.

Draught No head but beige rim over jet-black beer. Bourbon, rum, raisins, black chocolate, holly. Quite boozy nose. Chocolate, coffee cream, Bourbon, vanilla. Soft roast, just a tad meaty. Somewhere vinous, as wine made from raisins. Chewy, alcoholic, voluptuous, oily. Low carbonation. Impressive, absolutely.
