Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and atoush of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit and a ligjt touch of caramel, leading to a bitter finish. A bit boring.

courtesy of cigarcitybrew. Pours black, brown head. Aroma is hoppy, with some smoked malts. Taste, dark fruits (cherry), some nice roasted malts. Low carbonation with chocolate notes. Alcohol is well hidden, but remains warming on the palate. The beer is very smooth, thick and grainy.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium brown color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was sweet chocolate with a touch of roasty malts and coffee. The flavor was sweetish roasty and toasty malts with a lightly bitter undertone and a hint of floral hops. Medium bodied and it turns a bit dry towards the finish. Well done.

12 oz bottle from Suttree. Best if enjoyed by 12/14/08 stamped on the bottle. Pour is mostly clear golden orange with active carbonation bubbles and a pretty two inch off white head. Some sticky lacing is left behind. Aroma of resin citrus, orange sweet with some pine notes. Fresh hop nose, nice. Taste is the nose, pine, resin, citrus; though its not quite as fresh or bright as the nose. Some bitterness towards the finish. Some musty, almost pineapple sour present as well. Palate is medium, with earthy lingering bitterness. Overall, a nice IPA, thanks Phil!

Medium head, halfway mango-amber, dense, over very slightly hazed darker orange-amber beer. Grape/raisins cake with hoppy & lytchee aromas. Hops, but especially leafy/earthy flavours. Bitterness comes after a general sweetish-malty impression. Bit fiery MF, not very well-bodied. Palate falls a bit dead, leaving only indifferent bitterness. Beautiful nose, great flavours, but average finish.

2007 1L waxed swingtop shared by cdumler. Thanks! Pours a clear and very dark ruby color with a medium off-white head. Decent head retention and low lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, nuts, sawdust and citrus. Taste is heavy on the sunflower seeds, with notes of dark fruits, caramel, honey, spice and a nice warming alcohol. Muddled hops in the finish. Full bodied.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. Best if enjoyed by 10/14/08 stamped on bottle. Pour is clear golden with a one inch white head. Very still body, almost no carbonation bubbles. Aroma of blueberry pie, fresh ripe blueberry and sweet doughy yeastiness. Its actually quite remarkable how much this smells like pie. Taste is the blueberry, front and center. Again its blueberry pie, but there is also a chemical element that is not all that pleasant. Palate is medium, with a lingering blueberry aftertaste. Interesting and unique brew, though a bit one dimensional. Thanks for sending this my way, Phil!

Bottle thanks to Suttree, shared with ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a thickish, off-white, with a hazy amber body. Great lacing, and retention. Aroma of spicy hops and sweet malts. Taste is fruity and very sweet and sugary. Finish has some cotton candy in the finish. Light bubbles and a water like mouthfeel.

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is a Pilsner, flavor is an ale. A very interesting combination and I’m glad to have been able to try such a beverage. I could really see myself drinking this when it is quite warm outside - but as it cools, I just don’t think it would hold up as well.
