Bottle 33 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a decent, white head. Spicy, citrusy hops. Medium body, a very dry fruitiness, some yeast with a solid, finishing bitterness. Very decent for a style not easy to get right. 210923

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden with a frothy, white head with good retention. Interesting and pleasant aroma with the passionfruit being dominant yet with an underlying touch of the strawberries. Medium body, quite tart, the fruit is showing but there's also an odd and not so pleasant underlying uncleanliness. 200923

Bottle, 4.6%. Roasted aroma, perhaps a little paper but no noticeable smoke. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Very big stable rocky light brown head. The flavour is roasted with a little smoke. The body is quite thin. Hint of liquorice in the finish, but mostly a woody bitterness.

Bottle, 6.4%. Lovely floral hop aroma with notes of light caramel. Hazy dark golden colour. Very big stable creamy white head. The flavour is very bitter, all right. There is still a good floral aroma hop note. Clean and pleasant even though it is very bitter.

Bottle, 15.1%. Very vinous aroma, sweet and malty, lots of raisin and some booze. Very dark brown colour, seems hazy. Ok stable brown head. The flavour is sweet, actually very sweet. Loads of raisin. Some booze, but I have had worse. Distinct malt syrup notes. Very long aftertaste of sweet port, raisin and bitter alcohol. Even though I do not usually like beers this strong, this one is actually not bad.

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of alcohol, with notes of yeast and touches of malt. Bitter, roasty and boozy flavour with notes of nuts, yeast, and caramel malt, and touches of dried fruit. Bitter, roasty aftertaste, with malty and sugary notes. Warming alcohol presence - for obvious reasons. Frankly, I had expected something much worse than that, so I am quite impressed. Not bad!

Bottle, 6.2%. Weak vanilla aroma. Hazy dark brown colour. Very big rocky light brown head. The flavour is roasted and vinous. Spicy in a strange way, but not bad. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours clear dark copper brown with profuse but stable tan head. Clear aroma of nuts and caramel malt, with touches of cocoa and yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of nuts and cocoa and touches of malt, caramel and vanilla sugar. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with estery touches and hints of lactose. Reasonable.

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours cloudy dark brown with airy dark tan head. Clear aroma of malt and dried fruit, with touches of yeast. Bitter flavourbof roast and alcohol, with notes of malt and yeast and nutty touches. Bitter, boozy aftertaste with nutty notes and touches of yeast. Not bad but the boozy notes are too dominant for my liking.

Bottle from the brewpub, Viborg. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with estery and citric touches. Intensely bitter flavour of hops, deafening virtually all other nuances, like the touches of yeast and malt. Lingering, bitter aftertaste with estery hints. Drinkable and not bad, but does it really need to be so extreme? I don’t mind beer with high IBU, but it would be nice to taste more than just this.
