500ml bottle, 2025 vintage. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, spicy rye and toasted oak. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and a thin ring of lacing. Starts with roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and spicy rye flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes ludicrously smooth with dark fruit, vanilla, bourbon and toasted oak flavors as well as a nice warming booziness at the very end, perfect for a chilly evening. Ridiculously good.

dark with a fine brown head that soon reduces to a film head at the edges.
roasted malts and a hint of bourbon, quite balanced with not that much wood and bourbon going on, unfortunately, but the borbon is super well rounded and smooth. aroma is quite traditional bourbon imp stout, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, licorice, faint wood, roasted malts, while not the most powerful bourbon imp stout , it is one of the most velvety and balanced.
flavor is roasted malts, bourbon, wood, faint licorice, faint chocolate all very well blended and very soft, end is roasted malty with bourbon, licorice chocolate.
A very balanced and smooth beer.

pitch black to very very very dark brown, small brown head that is bubbly and soon goes away.
A really nice, quite layered and complex aroma that starts out as wood, vanilla, roasted malts and hints of booze, dark caramel, dark chocolate. It has a tiny boozy almost a bit phenolic sting to it, if it was not for that, i'd give it 9 in aroma. some of my very favorite BCBS does not have this phenolic note, most black beers around 16% abv have it a lot more, and i don't really like it. the vanilla and wood and bourbon really blends well into a composite but even note, really good.
flavor is bourbon, roasted malts, vanilla, wood, dark chocolate, faint licorice, a boozy note, sorry to say, but a bit like cheap booze, very faint slightly fruity note , a bit like a liquer, but very faint. End is bourbonish and roasted malty.
I think this one needs some more years to get that boozy note to go mostly away. tasted feb 2026, bottle was 2021 i'd say give it 2-3 more years.
