Keg at Craft Beer Co Islington. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is mellow smoke, light roast, meaty and bacon frazzles. The taste is roasted malt, ash, meaty, scortched earth, liquorice, treacle and dark fruit with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Cloudy gold pour. Peach and mango aroma. Very smooth. Sweet citrus flavour backed up very nicely with a bit of peach and mango. Smooth fruit finish. Nice.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, 07/04/13. Clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is zesty citrus, grass, pale malt, hops, light grapefruit. Taste comprises orange, touch of grapefruit, straw, background hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry with some bitterness in the curtain call. Decent.

Cock Taver mini Saison Fest. Cloudy brown beer, little white head. Softish palate, minerally carbonation. Bitterish dried fruits, mildly tangy as well. Touch of fresh citrus. Finishes semi dry with a subtle salty streak. Not bad.

Aroma had coconut, spices, sourness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sourness, coconut, spices, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, sour and bitter. 33cl bottle from AlesByMail. No BBE found on the bottle. Hazy orange beer with a frothy, lasting white head. Aroma has citrus and orange with earthy, cellar-like notes as well. Herbal notes. Flavor has mandarine, orange peel, lots of it, mixed with herbal notes and tropical fruityness. Bitter, dry, grapefruity finish. Interesting and tasty. Nice body for this ABV.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear amber with a dense and creamy beige head. Lovely fresh, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, dry caramel accents with citrusy - if somewhat dusty - hop accents. Ends dry but not overly bitter. Well put together. 050413
