Bottle picked up at the brewery. It pours lightly hazy golden-amber with a medium white head. The nose is sweet, juicy, orange marmalade, brioche, creamy, apricot and pine. The taste is bitter orange, piney, lemon, grapefruit peel, salty edge, earth, light alcohol and varnish with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not as clean as I would have hoped for. Drinkable though.

Bottle(@tibits, Heddon Street):Deep golden to copper coloured, hazy, firm creamy off-white head; moderate to solid piney and juicy grapefruity nose, backed by some caramel; moderate to solid bitter and sweet flavour, astonishingly light bodied; lingering piney and grapefruity finish with a nice caramelly balance. Well drinkable, very pleasant…

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. This beer pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma has nice, dynamic wholegrain bread character with flourishes of spicy rye, pine, and ripe orange. The flavor is medium sweet with nicely rounded breadiness, more wholegrains, subtle piney spice, further ripe citrus, some earth, orange rind, and background grass. It’s medium bodied with fine carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. The finish has lots of juicy, orangey hops, further resinous pine, lingering wholegrain bread, some bitter grain husk. In the aftertaste I get mild floral elements. Nice work, Bellevile.

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon consumed at home Thursday 12th June 2014 Far better than expected and a jolly decent beer. Amber in colur, little murky, with off-white head. Really decent bitterness. I like the rye, quite straightforward rustic flavour but nice bitter bite, a tinsy bite dry, its nice.
