Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at home Monday 26th May 2014 Pours very, very dark brown in fact more mahogany like, its v.dark, light filmy off-white head atop. Bit cold (my fault), really nutty, chocolatey but smooth. In fact a bit like a chocolate sponge cake. This is also quite soft in mouth, the carbonation is nice. Good A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4 .

Cask at the Flying Pig. It pours clear deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, spice, toast, brown bread and light caramel. The taste is bitter, earthy, spice, brown bread, varnish, wood and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent, but not much depth.

Bottle 500ml (AbM)
Slightly hazy golden-orange color, small steady white head. Light yeasty-fruity aroma with hints of orange. Light-bodied. Fruity, sweet yeasty flavor. More on sweet than bitter side. Quite "traditional" bottle conditioned British golden ale. Simple but drinkable.
